Excellence in all stages of the retrofit process will finally be recognised and celebrated thanks to the Retro Expo Awards. From large scale retrofit procurement to enabling technologies, real-world projects and R&D trials, the Retro Expo Awards will recognise excellence in retrofit products, innovation, design and delivery across the domestic, commercial and public sector markets.
The retrofit market is worth £32 billion a year in the UK alone and with the imminent launch of The Green Deal, it's an exciting and dynamic time for this sector. There are many pioneering initiatives out there that aren't being recognised and widely promoted and we hope the Retro Expo Awards will champion these projects and inspire others to follow suit.
"The Retro Expo Awards recognise excellence in retrofit products, projects and people," said David Pierpoint, Business Development Director for Retro Expo. "Refurbishment is a massive existing market that is set to grow exponentially as a result of the low carbon agenda. However it is usually overlooked in favour of iconic new builds. This doesn't accurately reflect the market. The awards celebrate best practice and excellence and will set the standard for new blue chip and SME entrants to the market."

Entries will be judged by an expert, independent panel of members of the Retro Expo Editorial Board. Winners will be announced at The Retro Expo Award ceremony taking place on 31st October 2012 at the NEC in Birmingham.
