Treglown Court, the new Cardiff office designed by Stride Treglown Architects for its own use, has been awarded Best Office Architecture at the 2010 UK Property Awards.
Stride Treglown will be celebrating its award with an invitation to this year’s International Property Awards. The event, based across two days in London, will culminate in an International Gala Dinner at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in Hyde Park on Saturday 27 November to decide the ‘World’s Best’ across 36 categories.
The UK Property award is the latest in a string of achievements for Treglown Court, which was the first office in the UK to be awarded the highest BREEAM Outstanding rating at design stage of 89.12%. A Green IT award for ‘Environmental Project of the Year’ completes the silverware, proving the office is a true testament to Stride Treglown’s commitment to supporting the environment.
The 500 sq m building breathes new life into a former industrial site, which is being redeveloped into offices and has been recognised as an exemplary example of building sustainably by minimising energy consumption and waste, and providing renewables on site.

The building can be managed in such a way meaning that we as a company can continually evaluate our carbon reduction and energy usage throughout the life of the building, making improvements as technologies develop. We’re delighted to receive this prestigious award, and look forward to moving into our award-winning home in November.”
