As a new European safety standard for power operated doorsets comes into force, GEZE UK is the first company to offer British architects a CPD seminar explaining the implications of EN 16005.
Approved by RIBA, GEZE UK’s new training seminar will explain how EN 16005 addresses the potential hazards and hazardous situations relevant to power operated doorsets and the ways in which it supersedes and differs to the more familiar BS 7036.
Managing director Kaz Spiewakowski said: “This is the first formalised cross-European standard for automatic doors and it’s essential that architects are aware of this more onerous new safety standard. As the first company in the UK to launch a CPD seminar that specifically covers EN 16005, we will be doing all we can to raise awareness of the new standard and help architects specify automatic door systems safely.”
By offering chartered architects invaluable advice and guidance, which contributes to their continuing professional development, the new training seminar sets out the need for safety at automatic doors and outlines why the new standard has been introduced. By ascertaining the danger points on automatic doors and how to overcome them, GEZE UK’s new CPD seminar will provide architects with the accurate information they need to ensure compliance by identifying which products should be specified for particular locations and applications.
