TEX stair edgings from flooring accessories specialist Gradus are helping to improve safety for students on campus at Mid Kent College.
Mid Kent College is one of the largest further education and training providers in the South East. Thousands of people pass through the campus each year and, as such, the college needs to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for students, staff and visitors.
TEX stair edgings from Gradus have been installed on the exterior steps leading up to the main entrance and in the car park. The heavy duty aluminium stair edgings were selected with Firestorm (bright yellow) insert, providing both slip-resistance and visual contrast.
Suitable for both exterior and interior applications, Gradus TEX profiles have performed well in accelerated wear and UV weathering tests and have also been independently tested for slip-resistance by the Health and Safety Laboratory (HSL), providing a low risk of slip in both wet and dry conditions.
