Supermarket chain Lidl has selected Hunter Douglas as its preferred supplier for the provision of sun control as part of its store refurbishment and expansion programme.
The UK & Ireland division of Hunter Douglas Sun Control and Façades, based near Cannock in Staffordshire, has to date been asked to supply materials to six of Lidl’s expanding store network in the UK and Ireland, with more expected as the programme rolls out.
Lidl currently operates more than 530 stores in the UK. Hunter Douglas has been specified as preferred sun control supplier for all new stores as well as those being upgraded, as part of Lidl’s Europe-wide refurbishment programme.

Hunter Douglas is supplying its 132S Sun Louvre panel systems to Lidl, consisting of 132mm Z-shaped roll formed aluminium panels within an elegant support structure.
This panel type is typically used to achieve a crisp and clean architectural result. It is available in a wide variety of colours.
