ISG has been appointed to a £150 million construction framework with Bristol International Airport to enhance capacity at the fast growing south west transport hub.
The four-year framework will underpin the airport’s master plan for expansion, with passenger numbers predicted toincrease to 10 million per year over the next decade. Projects expected to be delivered via the framework include the expansion of the airport terminal, new office accommodation for airport staff and retail space, enhanced public transport infrastructure and increased parking capacity.
As a framework partner, ISG will be eligible to bid for all construction schemes within the £4.3 million to £20 million value band at the airport, with the potential to also tender for work below the £4.3 million threshold.
The company’s strong local base and previous experience of working across live airport environments, including a £17 million concourse re-development scheme at Manchester Airport, firmly positions ISG as a key partner in the delivery of the client’s wide ranging objectives.
ISG’s John Rawlinson, managing director – South West, commented: “Securing a coveted place on one of the region’s most highly anticipated development frameworks is a major success for the business.
"The boost to the regional economy of a project of this scale and ambition will be highly significant and, as a Bristol-based contractor, we are committed to utilising the skills and expertise of the local supply chain across the framework.”
