JELD-WEN, one of the UK's leading timber patio door manufacturers, has added an innovative new inline sliding patio doorset, the Fenton, to its range.
The Fenton's attractive slimline frame provides the largest possible glazed area, flooding the property with natural light and creating the airy, spacious feeling which is popular with today's home buyers.
"This is the most exciting new design in inline sliding patio doors for many years," explains Joanne Garside, Product Manager of JELD-WEN. "We are expecting a huge amount of interest in the product, which benefits from enhanced sightlines and performance to meet the latest Part L requirements. This truly stunning addition to our range will differentiate a property, add value and increase appeal with potential homebuyers."
The patio door is manufactured from highly engineered softwood and is available with a choice of two standard Hi-Build factory finishes, in dusky grey or white to suit buyer's tastes. Bespoke colour options are available for large orders too. All JELD-WEN's painted factory finishes come with a 10 year guarantee, as do the patio doors themselves.
The Fenton patio door is fully compliant with the latest Part L Building Regulations and can be specified with U-values as low as 1.3W/m2K. This includes the option of triple glazing or double glazing, with Low-E glass as standard, which means there is no need to compromise on thermal performance when introducing more natural light into a property.
The Fenton is available as a single or double sliding door and in a wide range of widths and with left-hand, right-hand or double openings, which means it can be specified to suit exact project requirements.
Inline sliding patio doors, like the Fenton, are perfect for both traditional and contemporary homes, where the buyer is looking to introduce more light, but where space may be restricted. This is because they allow easy access to the garden or patio area with no requirement for door clearance.
The doorset's good looks are enhanced by a choice of timber composite or aluminium sills, with matching hardware. The Fenton has a smooth, sliding action for ease of operation by the householder. Security is a key consideration too, with the Fenton supplied with a multi-point locking mechanism as standard. A high quality hardware pack with attractively-styled handles is also supplied with the doorset.
The Fenton is weather tested to meet British Standard BS:6950, providing robust resistance against the worst of the British weather. The product also includes
a design feature to ensure that rainwater drains away freely, which prolongs its appearance and lifespan.
JELD-WEN offers an extensive range of patio doors, including sliding folding doors, French doorsets and inline sliding doors, with a wide choice of softwood and hardwood options, plus superior factory finishes to suit buyer's tastes.
JELD-WEN is committed to environmental best practice, and the Fenton is constructed from Chain of Custody certified timber, which means it originates from well managed forests with strict reforestation programmes.
