Kermi – Celebrates a half century of innovation, design, and quality manufacturing

Kermi is celebrating 50 years of product innovation, design and quality dating back to 1960 when the Company was formed by Mr. Kerschl and Mr. Schmidt from whose surnames the name was derived.

Ever since the initial launch of steel oil storage tanks Kermi has practised the business principles of “design and innovation” and having diversified into the areas of heating and bathroom is now one of the leading suppliers of shower enclosures and heating products in Europe. Headquartered in Plattling, Bavaria, the Company employs 1300 people and operates from a 220,000 square foot manufacturing complex.

Developmental landmarks are as follows:

Celebrating with Kermi were guests from the UK accompanied by Gwynn Smitham the Managing Director of Kermi (UK) who commented:

“Fifty Years of product innovation, design, and quality engineering underwritten with the “Made in Germany” badge of quality, has made Kermi the market leading force it is today. A Half Century – and still batting strongly.
