Playday, the national day for play, takes place tomorrow with thousands of children and their families expected to get out to play at hundreds of community events across the UK.
As well as a celebration of children's right to play, Playday is a campaign that highlights the importance of play in children's lives. Campaigning for play where you live can make a huge difference not only to local children and families, but to whole communities.
It's easy to celebrate Playday - it doesn't matter whether your plans are big or small, what's most important is that children and young people get the opportunity to get out to play for the day, and that collectively we highlight the importance of play in children's lives.
Lots of advice and resources are available on the Playday website to help organise a community Playday event. Whether you're a play setting, community group, childminder, family, or group of friends, check out ideas for Playday on a shoestring for alternative ways to celebrate Playday.
Whether you've got kids, you work with kids or you're a big kid yourself, Playday needs you.
