NEW APPOINTMENT FOR ASSA ABLOY SECURITY SOLUTIONS

ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions has strengthened its sales force with the appointment of David Shields as Regional Development Manager for the Midlands and South of England.

In a role that focuses on developing relationships with major contractors, David will look to secure specifications and sell doorsets from across the ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions portfolio.

With 30 years of experience within the architectural ironmongery industry, David has worked for companies such as IR Laidlaw, Laidlaw Solutions and Dryad Simplan, fostering key relationships with large contractors like Sir Robert McAlpine, Interserve and Vinci.

David joins ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions after a spell working in the joinery sector to further develop his skills and knowledge of doorset manufacture.

Based in Malvern with his wife and two children, David is a keen motorcycle enthusiast.

Speaking of his appointment, David commented: “This new role is a natural career progression for me and I’m looking forward to using my experience to further develop business across the Midlands and Southern England.
