Komfort Workspace has reviewed and updated three of its RIBA assessed CPD seminars covering Fire, Seamless Abutments and Architectural Glass to their training programme.
The Fire module is now split into two parts: A Sure Fire Decision Part 1 (England and Wales Edition); A Sure Fire Decision Part 2 (England and Wales Edition), both cover design considerations including means of escape, product certification, and understanding the Approved Documents. The CPDs also cover the manufacture of the different types of partitioning systems to help architects gain better understanding of how they can fit into their designs, whilst still maintaining the required level of fire protection.
Focusing on the more aesthetic side of partitioning, the Solutions in Specifying Seamless Abutments CPD features key learning points that focus on the understanding the difference between traditional and seamless installations. In addition, this module also explores the flexibility of installation using seamless abutments and presents architects with the features, benefits, and aesthetic advantages of these systems.
Also covered within the latest round of CPDs is Crystal Clear Decisions in Architectural Glass, and this covers the manufacture, performance and installation of all types of Architectural Glazing. Again, this is very much driven towards educating the architect on the most suitable glass systems for their projects – including details on acoustic performance, thermal insulation and solar control, and design loads.
Brian Pike MBE, Training Consultant at Komfort said: “Our latest CPDs are very much focused on providing the architectural community with the latest information concerning the Approved Documents and delivering comprehensive technical guidance to ensure the right system is chosen for a particular project.”
