Independent living solutions provider AKW has added a new dimension to its product portfolio by introducing a unique range of heating products.
Branded AKW iCare, the range offers a choice of low surface temperature (LST) models, which the company proudly promotes as a ‘touch safe’ option for any bathroom.
The range comprises of an electric towel rail and two radiator types; one electric, the other a wet central heating radiator. All are designed to maintain an external temperature at no higher than 43° to meet the NHS Safe Surface Temperature Guidelines.
Commenting on the launch, AKW Marketing Manager Joanna Marston says: “Our bathroom and showering portfolio is centred on creating a safe environment and LST radiators complement the finished bathroom with a product that offers complete safety. The iCare towel rail range is available in elegant luxury chrome or white finishes and there is a choice of curved or straight models. Quick and easy to install and economical to maintain, they can be used with a timer and have a 10-year warranty, with a two-year warranty on the fixed heat element.
The iCare electric LST radiator has a digital adjustable thermometer for precise temperature control with a choice of three modes to suit the environment and deliver an economical performance. The slimline, easy-to-clean control panel has a digital display for the clock, selected temperature and weekly programming information and the radiators come in a choice of three power outputs from 750 to 1500W.
Easy to install as a replacement for a conventional panel radiator, the iCare wet central heating LST radiator has a strong hinged single piece cover for trouble-free access. It has a long-lasting bright white anti-bacterial paint finish and is manufactured and tested to BSEN442.
Available in five heights and seven lengths, it is available in outputs from 1079 to 9765 BTU/hr and carries a 10-year warranty.
