Located in Fitzrovia in the heart of central London’s creative community, Fitzroy Place is a unique collection of 235 private residences, two new office spaces, retail and restaurant offerings, all gathered around a landscaped square (the first new square in London W1 for over 100 years).
Domus Supertube 204x60mm rectangular ducting and Megaduct 220x90mm high capacity rectangular ducting has been installed throughout this exciting new development, as a key part of the ventilation provision. Domus ducting is engineered to exacting tolerances, providing optimum air flow for improved system performance, whilst also helping to eliminate possible air leakage.
The duct was installed with Polypipe Ventilation’s Domus Thermal duct insulation and also Supertube Silencers which effectively absorb sound from central ventilation systems, traffic noise and room-to-room cross talk.
Domus Thermal is a uniquely engineered patented insulation system, designed to prevent the build-up of condensation and mould within rigid ducting. Engineered to comply with 2010 Building Regulations, Domus Thermal products consist of two moulded halves that fit snugly around the ducting and simply lock into place using a moulded interlocking feature. Manufactured from silver EPS (expanded polystyrene), Domus Thermal has high insulative properties yet remains a cost-effective and simple duct insulation solution.
