Evergreen Energy Solutions, one of the UK’s largest independent suppliers and installers of renewable energy products, has unveiled a new range of renewable heat pumps that provide customers with 75% savings.
The company, based in Oxfordshire, now offer two types of renewable heat pumps; ‘Ecocent air to water heat pumps,’ and ‘air source heat pumps.
’
Firstly, the Ecocent air to water heat pumps generate domestic hot water from heat within a building that would otherwise be wasted or used very inefficiently.
James Woollard, managing director at Evergreen Energy Solutions explains further: “Due to each unit’s high energy efficiency, they are more environmentally friendly than conventional water heating systems, utilising minimal ‘Ozone Depleting Potential’ (ODP) refrigerants. Each unit can also produce over 1000 litres of hot water a day with energy savings of up to 75%.”
Plus the running cost of the Ecocent air to water heat pump is a fraction of a traditional system, therefore the payback period is very short with cost savings delivered throughout the life-cycle of the unit.
Evergreen Energy Solutions’ second heat pump offering is the air source heat pump, which has potential to reduce a building’s CO2 emissions by up to 50% and offer a significant saving on running costs.
James comments: “With heating bills continuing to rise, air source heat pumps provide significant annual savings compared to conventional boilers, oil or LPG. They are ideal for off gas-grid areas and again offer up to 75% savings over fossil fuelled systems.”
The two products can work independently, but when working in unison, results are truly maximised, as James explains: “When the two products integrate, they provide a highly efficient system, as both are working together, doing the work that is only needed to be doing. For example, the air source heat pump is installed on the outside of the property.
"It’s extremely quiet anyway, but actually only needs to work during the Winter months when nobody’s outside then anyhow. Whilst the Ecocent air to water heat pump can work in the Summer delivering space heating for small areas, hot water and some air cooling. Together the building is heated effectively, all year round, whilst making massive savings.”
He concludes: “Also, both our units provide market leading performance and comply with all relevant European standards. Performance of our units is independently tested and they are MCS Accredited, giving the user access to significant grant funding.”
