The environmental benchmark for the furniture industry has launched a new website.
The Furniture Industry Sustainability Programme, widely known as FISP, is launching its own dedicated website, updated with fresh information and new areas.
FISP was launched in 2006 to support and promote sustainable development in the furniture industry. Today, FISP is the standard of sustainable excellence for companies across the furniture supply chain. Supported by all the furniture associations, it is internationally recognised as the industry’s environmental benchmark.
New and improved areas on the website include up to date news and information, meet the team, features and benefits, how to join FISP and a case study on one of the oldest and most active members of FISP, Senator.
James Bell, Environmental Consultant at FIRA, said: “The new improved website will be easy to navigate and contains up-to-date information for potential and existing FISP members. FISP membership clearly demonstrates your sustainability credentials when tendering for contracts and helps you to stand out above your competitors. It can improve your competitiveness through production efficiencies and cost savings. The service is tailored to your business and all organisations within the furniture industry are eligible for FISP membership.”
FISP membership demonstrates that a company is taking its environmental and corporate social responsibility obligations seriously.
