As part of its commitment to continued professional development, the Association of Building Engineers (ABE) has launched its 2012 prospectus of training and development opportunities.

Featuring a range of established courses, including fire safety, structural design, management of buildings, and regulations and control, the prospectus also includes new courses on sustainability, structures and maintenance.

Qualifications vary from half day CPD events or NVQs to Bsc(Hons) degrees, and two modules – on demolition and the changes to Part L of the Building Regulations – have been introduced through online learning.

Colin Bell, president of ABE, commented: “As the professional body for those associated with the technology of building, we are dedicated to providing both members and non-members with the highest quality of CPD and training as well as keeping them informed with the latest information in the built environment.

“We have listened to the requirements of our members and the wider industry and expanded our training courses for this year to help individuals develop their careers in our competitive industry.”

The Association of Building Engineers (ABE) is the professional membership body for those specialising in the technology of building. It provides the Building Engineer qualification which is recognised across the world, reflecting the professional expertise of its members.
