Prince Albert would definitely approve. A man of progressive ideas, Albert not only led reforms in university education, he had a special interest in applying science to the manufacturing industry and the success of The Great Exhibition of 1851 which showcased the best of British innovation was down in no small part to his efforts.
So for Accsys Technologies to move their UK Headquarters into a building which bears his name (Royal Albert House) in a town so closely associated with him, seems most appropriate. Residents of Windsor, and indeed Berkshire, will hopefully soon hear more about the Company in their midst which produces this green and eco friendly product which is becoming the material of choice for discerning consumers and developers concerned with the destruction of tropical forests.
Accsys Technologies developed and produce Accoya® which is the world’s leading high technology wood and which is revolutionizing the use of wood in the building industry. Created from sustainably sourced wood, Accoya® matches or exceeds the durability, stability and beauty of the very best tropical hardwoods. The Accoya® wood production process takes sustainably-sourced, fast growing wood and, in a non toxic process that ‘enables nature’, creates a new durable, stable and beautiful product - that has the very best environmental credentials.
A new world of high performance, sustainable, low maintenance products - including windows, doors, decking, cladding and glulam structural beams - is opened up by Accoya® wood. The exceptional properties of durability, stability, strength and beauty have even led to Accoya ®wood being used as the main construction material in 2 heavy traffic road bridges with a highly original design.
Accoya® is helping to protect the world’s precious hardwood resources and is guaranteed for 50 years in exterior use and 25 years when used in the ground. This long life also provides an added benefit - helping to reduce carbon emissions.
Formerly located in Hammersmith, West London, the Company opened its office on 11th of July and Paul Clegg, CEO of Accsys Technologies said “It will be so much more pleasant for our staff to work out of London in such wonderfully historic surroundings but still retaining the conveniently close links with the capital which Windsor offers. With his statue over our door, I like to think Prince Albert would very much approve of our business and is smiling down on us!”
