Pergo, a leading manufacturer of design flooring, announces it will, from now on, fully focus its UK operations on the professional segment.
A vast and innovative offering of durable and easy-to-install flooring solutions makes Pergo the partner of choice for demanding architects and contractors.
Ever since Pergo invented laminate flooring back in 1977, it has never stopped perfecting it. Over the years, innovative thinking has significantly broadened its portfolio of laminate and, more recently, wood parquet and vinyl flooring solutions. Since joining forces with the UNILIN group in 2012, its product offering has become one of the most comprehensive on the market. From today onwards, Pergo UK will fully dedicate this extensive know-how to the b2b market.
In professional environments – commercial spaces, hotels, healthcare applications, and so on ¬– exceptional demands are put on flooring. All laminate flooring types within Pergo’s offering are available in resistance classes 32, 33 and 34 and all vinyl flooring types are available in classes 32 and 33 - that’s the unique advantage we offer architects. This ‘box concept’ allows architects or contractors to choose from different versions of the same laminate or vinyl flooring design, to match the requirements that go with a specific room or area. In the lobby of a hotel, for instance, the highly-resistant class 34 is recommended. Then again, in hotel rooms, a less expensive class 32 can be used, while maintaining the same design.
Original and easy to install.
Pergo offers professionals the possibility to develop custom flooring designs to fit any particular environment. This enables them to create the look and feel they are aiming for, without having to compromise on durability. And all this comes with an exceptional ease-of-use: thanks to the patented PerfectFold click system, all Pergo floors are installed in no time and hassle-free.
Colm McGarry, Sales Manager Pergo UK, comments on Pergo’s refocus on the UK b2b market: “We combine a unique focus on design, innovation, quality and service with world-class manufacturing technology, ensuring contractors can rely on our products to deliver an unrivalled flooring experience. Our patented multi-layer technology, TitanX, significantly enhances scratch, impact and wear resistance on our laminate floors making them the highest performing on the market. Our Optimum vinyl floors are also designed for intensive usage by incorporating an extra thick surface layer. These key technologies underline how we tailor our designs to the highest quality demands.”
On its new website, Pergo provides architects with everything they need to get their projects going: inspiration, technical specs and information about warranties, but also more on the products’ environmental benefits and certificates … The website has a responsive design, suited for any type of device, and allows to easily compare the design and characteristics of different types of Pergo floors.
UNILIN produces laminate, engineered parquet flooring and LIVYN under the Quick-Step and Pergo brand as well as wood-based panels (particle board, MDF), decorative panels, roof systems and insulation boards. Unilin employs 5400 people at 21 production sites worldwide. UNILIN had a turnover of 1.4 billion euros in 2013 and forms part of the international listed group Mohawk (NYSE: MHK).
