Pulse announces acquisition of new head offices

Pulse has announced that due to continued growth and success we have exchanged contracts on the purchase of an established larger warehouse and office complex in Congleton, Cheshire.

The 3 acre site consists of a modern two storey 9,000 sq ft detached office block building with extensive car parking plus a 50,000 sq ft warehouse.

Conveniently located on the outskirts of Congleton on a large industrial estate with excellent transport links to junction’s 17 and 18 of the M6, the site offers a central country position to cater for Pulse’ UK and global leisure business.

Established in 1980 by local brothers Christopher and David Johnson, Pulse has resided in five different locations in the Congleton borough, before moving to its current premises on Bromley Road, Congleton in 2002. Over the past 10 years Pulse has continued to expand its pioneering range of global commercial fitness equipment and associated leisure development solutions within the Bromley Road head office building, now employing more than 260 staff in the UK, 90 of which reside within the current Congleton premises.

Reaching full capacity on their existing premises the new building offers Pulse improved working efficiencies and the potential for growth and development for the evolving fitness company.

Additionally, the extra space enables Pulse to continue to deliver its unsurpassed customer service promise with the added ability to stock additional spare parts and consumables.

Chris Johnson Managing Director and Co-Founder of Pulse commented: “More than 33 years on and Pulse are still going from strength to strength! This move shows our confident positioning in the fitness industry despite the current economic downturn, I am really excited about the opportunities it will provide us as a company including helping us to streamline our warehousing and stock management”.

The transition from Bromley Road to Radnor Park will take approx 3 months and will be completed in a phased approach to ensure minimum downtime for the busy company.
