Saint-Gobain PAM UK, part of international materials company Saint-Gobain, will be previewing its new range of steel rainwater and gutter products at the Homebuilding and Renovating Show between the March 27-30 at the NEC, Birmingham.
The company will also be showcasing its market leading cast iron Classical Plus rainwater system, which offers an aesthetic appeal in keeping with the traditional, external characteristics of a property, which no plastic ‘imitation iron’ system can match.
Rainwater and gutter systems not only perform a practical function, they are also a visible part of the façade and contribute to the character of a building. That’s why Saint-Gobain PAM UK’s new range of steel components is manufactured to a high standard of ï¬nish that will produce a neat and attractive drainage system.
To match the style of their home, customers can choose from a range of colours, giving plenty of scope to put their own stamp on the building’s appearance.
With a life expectancy of 40 years, the new steel range provides a durable, cost-effective alternative to plastic and requires very little maintenance. Furthermore the lightweight system, which does not require any special tools, can be easily and quickly installed by the homeowner.
Supplied pre-coated in a high performance polymer alloy, the Classical Plus rainwater system removes the need for any under coating and top coating prior to installation, reducing the total installation time by up to 60%.
To ensure maximum durability, the factory-applied coatings are tested to 1500 hours salt spray and ultra violet resistance. The range comes in black as standard, with a wide range of other colours available on a made to order basis.
The majority of Saint-Gobain PAM’s ranges are manufactured at its foundry in Telford, Shropshire - the historical birthplace of iron production in the UK. The Telford site has been manufacturing cast iron products since the 18th century, and has been focusing on soil and rainwater systems for nearly 100 years.
Experts from Saint-Gobain PAM UK will be on hand at the show to provide practical advice, tips and information for people looking to build or renovate a property.
Commenting on the reasons for exhibiting, Mike Rawlings, Marketing Manager – Soil, Drain & Rainwater at Saint-Gobain PAM UK said: “The Homebuilding and Renovating Show provides a unique opportunity to network with people who may have plans to build or renovate a property.
“It’s therefore the ideal location for Saint-Gobain PAM UK to launch its new steel range of rainwater products. We’ll also be taking this opportunity to inform visitors about our range of cast iron products which, in addition to complimenting the aesthetics of a property, can provide a material lifespan of up to 100 years.”
