Setcrete Flexible floor levelling compound has been used to create a super smooth subfloor at a luxury property refurbishment in Cheadle, Staffordshire.
The product, part of Setcrete’s range of high performance flooring products, was the optimum choice to ensure the sound, high quality subfloor was achieved, vital for the installation of a solid wood floorcovering in the 20m2 lounge area.
A 3mm application of Setcrete Flexible levelling compound was installed to provide an even surface, free from cracks and imperfections, ready to receive the beautiful solid wood floorcovering. Setcrete Flexible is a fibre-reinforced levelling compound ideal for supporting the inherent movement typical in plywood subfloors. This product utilises the latest advances in cement and polymer technology to provide a fast track, professional floor finish and offers an extended working time of up to 30 minutes. Moreover, with a walk-on time of just 1-2 hours, Setcrete Flexible allows a floor installation to be completed quickly and efficiently.
Prior to the application of Setcrete Flexible, contractors at Rowlinson Properties applied Setcrete Acrylic Primer. The general-purpose product, which is suitable for use over absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces, helps promote the adhesion of the levelling compound to the subfloor, and prevent rapid drying.
