Energy solutions provider Marshall-Tufflex has launched its market-leading range of Sinergy portable sub-metering devices into electrical wholesalers nationwide.
The Sinergy e-Tracker and k-Wattch portable hand-held sub-metering devices transform analysing and recording power consumption in commercial/industrial locations. Both solutions utilise non-invasive CT clamps that are straight forward for electrical contractors to install and use.
k-Wattch is suitable for measuring currents of up to 1,000Amps on single or three phase supplies and is ideal for instantaneous readings or short term measurement. It records power, voltage, power factor and kWh, storing date for up to six months on a USB memory stick. With automatic set-up, easy-to-fit 32mm CTs and seven days of battery life (or mains connection), k-Wattch offers a cost-effective and highly accurate way of measuring, recording and analysing power consumption.
e-Tracker is a portable power analyser, allowing users to monitor incoming power supply to show demand over an hour, day, week or month. It works with a wide range of CTs, including split core and bobbin CTs, measuring current from 10Amps to 2500Amps. The system offers 16 days of battery life or runs off mains supply. Data is downloadable via USB memory stick. Other features include pulse input, optional voltage connections, CT amps range indicator and EV-Trac electrostatic phase identifier. Optical or magnetic gas meter readers are also available.
“Energy costs are, typically, one of the top three spends for most organisations but in many cases commercial and industrial operations are unable to determine exactly where this cost is incurred,” said Jeremy Dodge, Marshall-Tufflex Head of Marketing & Technical Services. “The first step has to be pinpointing where, how and when energy is consumed, not only to enable users to identify potential waste but also to help forecast anticipated cost/carbon savings. Electrical contractors can utilise k-Wattch or e-Tracker, whichever is more suitable, to help their customers gather information about power use, enabling them to check utility bills and carry out energy audits.”
Sinergy offers a number of cost-effective fixed and portable sub-metering systems to monitor power use, identifying sources of energy waste and areas where savings could be made as well as checking bills, enabling accurate reporting of energy use and assisting with manufacturing trials.
