Bodpave 85 paving grids are a strong cellular structure designed for grass reinforcement, ground stabilisation and gravel retention. The design allows the grids to interlock with each other, resist shear and once filled they provide a high level of load- bearing performance. Bodpave 85 is commonly used to create car and coach parks, aircraft taxiways and helipads as well as emergency service routes. It has many applications to accommodate a wide variety of needs; the paving grids provide a durable, safe and eco-friendly surface for trafficked areas.
Bodpave 85 is supplied as 4 pavers that are pre-connected for rapid ease of installation. This ensures it is cost effective as it minimises labour costs for installation. The unique design is a natural grass or gravel surface option. It is laid on a free-draining base and can be filled with either gravel for immediate frequent and intense use, or with seeded sand or soil to establish a grassed surface for occasional consecutive use; therefore the flexibility of infill used can accommodate specific requirements. Both options mean that the resulting pavement is porous and in sympathy with the environment. Paving grids can be offset by 1 cell increments to fit around obstacles, while retaining a strong connection to adjacent pavers. This enables waste to be kept to a minimum which again ensures cost is reduced. Bodpave 85 is also able to accommodate inclines up to 12% and localised gradient changes giving a strong and cost effective option.
Not only is Bodpave 85 a cost effective solution to worn & rutted grassed areas, it is also a naturally pleasing, environmentally friendly and free draining grass or gravel surface. The unique design prompts optimum grass growth, root protection and surface stabilisation therefore making it pleasing to the eye whilst having a load bearing capacity up to 400t/m². The environmentally friendly paving is made from 100% recycled polymer and manufactured in the UK from UV Stabilised HDPE. Bodpave 85 is strong chemically inert & non-toxic. The open cell structure promotes optimum grass growth which enables a natural looking, well established grass and root system.
