Revolutionary raised paving product for balconies and roof terraces.

The Deck Tile Co Ltd have launched the Levato Mono paver system an innovative raised flooring product, ideal for installation on balconies, roof terraces and all types of waterproof membrane.

Managing Director Barry Sheen, explains what sets the Levato Mono paver system apart from conventional concrete and stone pavers.

“They are less than half the weight of concrete and stone pavers, so the installation process is both faster and easier,” he said. “But the main advantage – other than the fact that they are infinitely more attractive, than conventional pavers – is the fact that Levato Mono is an eternal product, meaning it will not wear, it will not fade or discolour in anyway, it cannot be stained, you can’t even scratch it with honed steel.

“It will basically remain looking a good as the day it was installed forever, meaning huge over life savings in maintenance along with consistent appearance.”

It is resistant to deterioration because it is constructed from a single layer of double fired, load bearing porcelain – each paver can support a static load of just under a tonne -the porcelain is incredibly hard, resistant to virtually everything other than abrasion with diamond.

“They are non-porous, so cannot be stained and they will not change colour in the wet, they are frost proof, fire proof, highly slip resistant – and will remain so because they don’t support algae and mould growth – no proteins present for these to live on- so they will not go green an slippery like decking and porous pavers,” he added.

“Conventional concrete and stone pavers can look ok when they are first installed, but over time they will discolour and stain.

“The Levato Mono will never change appearance, and we now have 11 different finishes; our new rustic timber finishes are so life like it is unbelievable – but unlike timber they will not deteriorate and will not be slippery when wet or require constant maintenance to up keep the appearance. They also have an R11 slip resistance that will not fade over time.”
