With less than 300 days to go to Timber Expo 2011, the organisers are busy developing further marketing tools to support exhibitors to the full. Key developments include a significant update to the much praised website. New functionality added this month includes: visitor information, searchable exhibitor listings, show features, conference details, show opening times, travel & accommodation information, exhibitor testimonials, details about preview events, stand graphics pack options, exhibitor zone, media area, steering group information and much more. Visit www.timber-expo.co.uk for more details.
And, says Event Director Loretta Sales, ‘Exhibiting is all about communication, so we have developed an Exhibitor Guide full of tips and suggestions for making the most out of your Timber Expo experience and to help you maximise the return on your investment.‘
The Exhibitor Guide is full of practical guidance on what to do before the show, setting out goals and key considerations, staff training, using the Timber Expo website and social media, collecting lead information, what to do after the show and measuring its success. Ms Sales added, ‘It’s not just about being a presence, you have to make every conversation, every visit, count and we can support exhibitors in doing so.’
And as companies continue to book up stand space, they have the opportunity to join the Timber Expo Steering Group. Ms Sales stressed, ‘We said at the outset that Timber Expo is a show designed by the timber industry for the timber industry, to shape and mould to meet the business needs of the sector. To ensure that Timber Expo meets the requirements of the timber industry, a Steering Group of exhibiting companies and other influential timber industry bodies is being established, to meet every eight weeks to ensure that Timber Expo is dealing with the latest and most contemporary issues.’
TimberExpozine is also now on line – click here to view it live and interactive. Ms Sales stressed, ‘Our plan is to publish four digital magazines before Timber Expo 2011, to keep you fully informed on developments behind the show but also to give our sponsors and exhibitors a chance to reveal their plans for the event and provide a sneak peek at any new products and systems they will be showing.’
Also, by popular demand, the Timber Expo team have instigated a series of regional Preview Events throughout the UK in January and February 2011. The location and timing of these events are very much based on demand and there is an open invitation to all organisations that are interested in being involved with the show. Ms Sales said, ‘We would actively encourage you to take the no obligation opportunity to come and see what the show has to offer your business and we hope that our Preview Events will help you to make an informed decision regarding your involvement.’ If you would like to attend one of the Timber Expo regional Preview Events just send an email to previewevents@timber-expo.co.uk stating your preferred location/region and one of the team will be in touch.
Finally, Visitor Registration is now open online. Visitors can attend for FREE and get involved in Technical Talkshops, Guided Tours and the In Touch with Timber Conference – more of which will be released soon
