Wienerberger, a leading provider of wall, roof and landscaping innovations, is continuing to consolidate its brands to promote global awareness and understanding of its portfolio of products, which cater for the entire building envelope.
The launch of the Penter landscaping brand in the UK is the latest in a string of developments for the company and is expected to set the bar for quality pavers in the commercial, and refurb and renovation markets.
Wienerberger’s global landscaping brand, Penter, has been introduced to the UK for the first time, and will incorporate the long established range of Baggeridge products, seeing the famous blue pavers live on, in the UK market. The Penter brand sees hundreds of different product lines available, including the new Slimpave range, a stunning alternative to traditional pavers and one, which is unique in the UK.
Defined by its narrow proportions and waterstruck finish, the Slimpave is a strong and durable paver, which lends itself to running or herringbone bonds and provides distinct visual interest in a commercial design scheme. Its vast colour range, shape and format mean it’s an appealing option for specifiers seeking to create a unique scheme.
All products from Wienerberger’s range of Dutch Pavers, Old Holland Pavers, Chamfered Pavers, Baggeridge Pavers, and Aquata Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDs), will now all fall under the Penter brand, to give clarity to the clay paving products globally, and build on Wienerberger’s international reputation for landscaping. Manufacturing quality clay building products since 1819, the company now operates a total of 229 plants in 27 countries including the UK, Holland and Germany.
With the potential to produce more than 250 million pavers in the UK and Holland, Wienerberger is expecting the popularity of many of its paving products to continue on its upward spiral. The Penter brand launch seeks to help continue this growth and will include all of the company’s established paving products as well as new products such as its unique Slimpave range, which achieved great recognition earlier this year as part of The Yard project at Roehampton University, which won the Best Outdoor Space Category at the BDA Awards.
Annette Forster, Director of Marketing at Wienerberger, commented: “With such a huge portfolio of products (we manufacture over 1,000 in the UK alone), and a reputation for innovation, we’re confident that the launch of the Penter brand will make it easier for our customers to recognise the quality of the pavers and will help us to build the Wienerberger brand worldwide.”
She continued: “Our significant sustainability credentials in paving, in addition to those within our wall and roof categories, set us miles apart from our competitors and we’re looking forward to experiencing significant growth in our market share.”
Wienerberger’s principal paving factory in the UK is in Staffordshire. Other sites sit within Holland and Germany. The Penter brand launch follows in the footsteps of Wienerberger’s Sandtoft brand for roof solutions, and Terca and Porotherm brands for wall solutions.
