Yeoman Shield, the UK market leader in wall and door protection has been supplied and installed at The Sutton Academy, St Helens, Merseyside which caters for 1300 children aged between 11 and 18 years old.
The Academy’s site manager, Steve Humphreys explained: “A new block was built and handed over in the New Year. Part of the extension is a heavily used thoroughfare used by the pupils and after only a few months began to show wear and tear and needed re-decorating. For over 25 years I was responsible for maintenance at several large hospitals, where I witnessed first-hand how effective Yeoman Shield was at keeping doors and walls smart and damage free. I therefore had no hesitation in recommending wall protection to the Sutton Academy, Board of Governors.
Having successfully tendered for the job, Yeoman Shield HessianEx wall panelling fitted to 1250mm high with joint cover strips and 50x50mm External Corner Angles in an attractive Lilac colour, was fitted on the ground and first floor corridors along with the plaza area.
Yeoman Shield HessianEx panels, cut to 300mm wide was fitted as an attractive protection strip in waiting areas, to protect against chairs being pushed up against walls and causing marks and scuffs.
Steve Humphreys, added: “We wanted to stop the need for costly and repetitive re-decoration. Yeoman Shield has provided us with a long term solution and has resulted in many complimentary comments on the improved appearance of the areas where Shield products have been installed.
“We were also delighted with the standard of workmanship provided by the Yeoman Shield operatives and hope to use the company again on the next planned phase of wall protection.”
