Developed with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), Impey's Maxi-Grip Plus has a square design that makes the rail easier to grip firmly and therefore less likely to rotate under pressure. The corners of Maxi-Grip Plus are made from a soft grip polymer for extra comfort and is colour contrasting for improved visibility.
Maxi-Grip Plus provides installers with the ability to adapt the grab rail system for customised installations. Maxi Grip Plus is available in 1.8 metre lengths which can simply be cut to match the length of rail required.
What’s more, the Maxi Grip Plus features adjustable corner angles which the installer can choose to set at either 90o, 60o, 45o and 30o depending upon the angle required.
Maxi-Grip Plus uses a square aluminium box section for reinforcement and it is orientated so that each of the 4 points intersect the flat sides of the square PVC handle extrusion. This provides maximum strength and allows the rail to safely support 150kg.
Maxi Grip Plus brackets are flared to increase surface area and maximise the distance between the fixing points, thereby reducing stress concentration. Additionally, the ribbed design of the underside provides greater material strength.
