Howarth Timber and Building Supplies shared its expertise as one of the leading authorities on fire door safety at a recent Fire Safety and Protection seminar hosted by Johnstone’s Trade.
More than 200 delegates heard experts from Howarth Timber – which is one of the founding members of the British Woodworking Federation’s (BWF) Certifire Fire Door Scheme - deliver a comprehensive guide to the latest developments on fire door installation and current building regulations, alongside representatives from the BWF.
The event brought together specifiers, architects, project managers, quantity surveyors and asset managers who came to learn about the correct methods and procedures for fire safety within buildings, and Howarth Timber’s inclusion on the speaker lineup reaffirmed the company’s position as industry-leading experts on fire safety.
Building managers face more scrutiny over the safety of their fire doors than ever before, and Howarth Timber has been helping its customers to stay abreast of developments in building regulations in recent years.
The Howarth Timber product range includes designs to suit modern homes and period buildings, with interior plywood lush fire doors, MDF-faced paint grade fire doors, and Shaker style fire doors all available at the firm’s 29 branches nationwide.
The Howarth Timber Training Academy offers a selection of free online courses created by leading industry trade bodies and manufacturers, and customers can learn about fire doors, components, testing and regulations by joining the academy.
Neale Brewster, marketing and product development manager at Howarth Timber, said: “We are proud to be industry leaders in fire door safety, and we relish the opportunity to share our expertise with customers and our friends from across the building industry.
“We encourage everyone to stay abreast of developments in fire door technology, in order to meet regulations and keep buildings safe, and our staff can provide fire door guidance and product information to suit all building types.”
