In response to market demand for products that can help speed up the construction process, Ibstock, the UK’s largest brick maker, has invested in production facilities to support its Ibstock-Kevington range of building components and specials.
The investments include opening a new state-of-the-art cutting centre at its Chesterton factory and expansion of its manufacturing site in Manchester.
These developments represent a major investment in Ibstock’s wide-range of special shapes and solutions designed to support the innovative yet efficient use of brick.

The Ibstock-Kevington range is designed to help reduce build times without compromising on quality or design flexibility. Easy-to-install, it encompasses products including prefabricated solutions such as arches and ready-built chimneys along with high-quality cut bricks, wall panels and bespoke designs to suit even the most challenging of projects. The products are specified and manufactured off site, eliminating cutting time and wastage, affording more time for other areas of the build.
In addition to practical time-saving qualities, orders of the Ibstock-Kevington range are turned around rapidly - days rather than weeks - from one of six locations nationwide, helping to further speed up completion of builds.
Product solutions from Ibstock-Kevington include:
- Faststack - made from real brick, the Faststack offers a cost effective way of installing either working or decorative chimneys. It has British Board of Agrement (BBA) accreditation so builders can be satisfied the product will comply with regulation.
- Fastwall - allows builders to quickly clad, infill or build a wall with real brick slips. Installation is easy thanks to its unique interlocking system.
- Arches - builders can choose from fully structural one piece arch systems which have stainless steel bearing plates to aid simple installation. These eliminate potential construction challenges and speed up completion.
- Underslung soffits -an increasingly popular design feature, soffits can be used for unusually shaped openings, restricted access, or little or no bearing surface available.
Each product can be customised with a variety of finishes and standard or bespoke designs.
