Uponor has renamed its Specialist Installation business, formerly known as velta, to Uponor Building Energy (UBE), emphasising its ongoing focus on the commercial built environment.
UBE provides a complete design, supply and installation service for the commercial building sector.
Uponor acquired velta in 2009, establishing itself as one of Europe’s leading providers of bespoke Embedded Heating & Cooling solutions which includes Thermally Activated Building Structures (TABS).

In the last five years alone, the Uponor radiant heating system has been installed in the Olympic Velodrome, Birmingham Library (recently shortlisted for the RIBA Stirling prize for the best new building) as well as a number of other buildings such as schools and University campuses.
