JELD-WEN, the UK’s leading manufacturer of timber windows, doors and stairs, has confirmed that it will be offering pinless beading across a selection of its premium painted timber windows, as the manufacturer continues to develop its window ranges to improve their performance and aesthetics across the merchant, self-build and consumer markets.
Pinless beading has been adopted following development and testing demonstrating its superior aesthetic merits and performance credentials. Compared with traditional alternatives, pinless beading provides a smoother, more attractive finish with no visible pin holes on the face of the bead.
Manufactured from an FSC certified timber composite, pinless beading is more stable and environmentally friendly as it offers a longer-lasting finish that is less prone to rot and needs replacing less frequently.
JELD-WEN will offer pinless beading as standard on its softwood factory painted and glazed windows, including Stormsure standard casement, Stormsure Energy +, Vertical Sliding Sash, and Elegance flush casement ranges. Colour co-ordinated pinless beading will also be an option across the manufacturer’s standard window colours and its range of special RAL colours. The range of standard colours (White, Buttermilk, Dusky Grey, Conservation Green, Gardenia & Black) will also be supplied with end caps to the bottom bead to further enhance the overall finish of the frame.
