Leading trade paint brand Johnstone’s will be bringing a splash of colour to the homes of tenants at one of the midlands’ largest housing associations thanks to the introduction of its flexible decorating scheme.
Johnstone’s has teamed up with Gedling Homes, which is based in Nottingham and boasts a stock of 3362 homes, to provide its residents with access to first-class decorating products and assistance through its nationwide network of Decorating Centres.
The Johnstone’s decorating scheme is designed to help social landlords keep properties maintained to the highest possible standards whilst giving residents the freedom to decorate their homes in the colours and finishes of their choice.
Tenants at Gedling Homes will be issued with a decorating voucher following their move to a new home or where major works has disturbed decoration in their property. They will then be able to redeem the points against a wide range of Johnstone’s products. In addition to the comprehensive range of products, the Decorating Centres also supply an extensive range of wallcoverings and market leader’s Fat Hog range of decorating supplies, which tenants will also be able to purchase.
Jason Cannon, Head of Investment and Responsive Maintenance at Gedling Homes said: “The partnership with Johnstone’s shows our commitment to providing the best quality products to our residents. The large number of Johnstone’s Decorating Centres is certainly going to be of major benefit to customers and allows us to make strong links with local decorators. The large number of stockists will also enable some of our most vulnerable customers to access the products. Our voucher scheme gives residents the control over their own homes and by partnering with Johnstone’s, they can be sure they’ll be using trusted products to bring some colour into their homes.”
Helen Tiplady, Johnstone’s Specification Market Manager, said: “The Johnstone’s Decorating Scheme has a range of benefits to both the housing provider and the resident. Gedling Homes is able to issue a decorating allowance in the format that suits customers best. Encouraging residents to use Johnstone’s paints in this way gives customers the confidence that their properties are being decorated with premium quality products.
“Residents, meanwhile, are given the freedom to personalise their homes with the decorating and colour scheme of their choice.”
