Marmoleum Modular From Forbo

Providing specifiers with new opportunities to express themselves through creative floor schemes, Forbo has launched the Marmoleum Modular collection. This series of four distinctive and fully integrated tile ranges that can be mixed, matched, combined and connected in an almost infinite number of ways offers a sustainable alternative to other modular design floors available in the market today, as it is made from 88% natural raw materials, 76% rapidly renewable and 58% recycled content.

With over 144 individual tile options, in a variety of colourways, styles and complementary tile sizes, the new collection invites the architect and interior designer to experiment with the four individual themes of Colour, Shade, Marble and Lines.

At the heart of the collection, Marmoleum Modular Colour features fashionable pastels and bold and eclectic colourways that can be mixed to create a statement floor or used to provide a solid base or accents within a floor design.

Marmoleum Modular Marble offers both traditional and contemporary marbled designs with natural and realistic stone effects, whilst Marmoleum Modular Shade is a range of cool and warm greys, complemented by the classic ‘black and white’, that can be used to create natural realistic stone and concrete patterns.

The newest addition to the collection is Marmoleum Modular Lines, a contemporary linear range featuring a palette of 15 striated colours, including cool whites and greys alongside soft and warm natural wood tones –subtle hues that not only blend beautifully together but which can also be combined with elements from the other three ranges.

There are six different tile sizes in total ranging from extra-large (75x50cm) to the smallest (25x25cm) and in between, the medium format square and rectangular tiles (50x50cm and 50x25cm respectively). Two ‘plank’ options (100x15cm and 100x25cm) in the Lines range are completely new to Marmoleum and open up a number of design options, from abstract linear designs to classic herringbone.

To help specifiers to visualise how proposed design schemes will translate into actual floors in real environments, Forbo has developed a series of design ‘grids’ which can be used as part of its online Room Planner tool.
