Mitek's PAMIR had been nominated in two award categories for the 2015 Structural Timber Awards.
Recognising the ground breaking nature of the software in bringing Eurocode 5 design into the mainstream of truss design in the UK and Ireland, PAMIR has been nominated in the Pioneer of the Year category.
In addition, MiTek’s huge investment in writing a totally new truss layout, engineering and detailing software has been recognised by it’s nomination in the Product Innovation category.
Commenting on the nominations, MiTek’s Business Development Director James Morgan said: “We are very pleased that the industry is recognising the
significant impact that the development and release of PAMIR has had upon the timber engineering sector. "Pioneering and innovative are two excellent ways of describing the software.”
The nominations follow on from PAMIR’s success at last year’s TTJ Awards where it won the award for Market Development in Timber Innovation. The Structural Timber Awards take place on October 6 at the NEC, Birmingham.
