Purchasing a Garador Up & Over garage door with a steel frame makes the installation quicker, as you simply need to fit the frame straight to the brickwork with as little as 7 fixings for a canopy gear door and 11 fixings for a retractable gear door.
The frame can be fitted either between or behind the opening.
As with all Garador products, the steel frame and garage door have been developed with longevity in mind. The use of a Garador steel frame which is galvanised to protect against rust, eliminates the need for a timber sub-frame, which will often warp or rot over time.
The steel frame also results in a more accurate installation, without the need to fill in any unsightly gaps with strips of PVC as is often the case with a timber sub-frame.
