Rinnai’s Infinity HDC1600i/e low NoX, gas-fired continuous flow water heater, delivers commercial qualities of hot water - up to 37 litres per minute on demand - to any site and application.
An important feature that demonstrates efficiencies is the fact that Rinnai, manufacturer of the industry’s widest range of continuous flow gas fired water heaters, has ‘A’ rated Eco-labels on all of its units.
Eco-labelling of products offers transparency to specifiers and end users a clear and simple guide when sourcing the most energy efficient hot water heating units. Rinnai products also meet and exceed the requirements of the Building Regulations Part L (fuel and power) and with these bespoke system arrangements they can offer G3 and ACOP L8 best practice. Any possibility of Legionella breeding at its trigger point of 40 degrees C is minimised as Rinnai units have no tanks and therefore limit the environment for bacteria production.
Rinnai injected innovation into the UK market in 2003 when it introduced the first fully electronically-controlled gas continuous flow hot water system to the UK.
The Rinnai Infinity series HDC1600i/e Low NOx is capable of delivering in excess 2000 litres per hour. It has efficiencies of up to 107% and can realistically claim to be one of the most efficient hot water heating units of its kind available in UK.
The HDC1600i/e Low NOx is an on-demand style hot water heating unit – suitable for natural gas or LPG - and it has NO storage cylinder. This means that there is no needless waste of energy from constantly reheating a stored body of water for when there is demand. Energy is only used on a Rinnai unit when there is demand – simple as that.
Therefore there is a big potential of annualised fuel saving costs of a HDC1600i/e low NoX unit - these costs can be minimised next to any comparable type of storage water heater, such as gas direct fired storage water heater or indirect cylinder system connected to the heating boiler.
Rinnai Infinity HDC1600i/e Low NOx can boost the modulation 14:1, 56.6kW to 4.0kW, on both Natural gas and LPG gas and operate at a flow rate of as low as 1.5l/min. Thanks to this high modulation range, the Rinnai HDC1600i/e low NoX ensures that the optimum amount of energy is used to heat the water, minimising waste and maximising system efficiencies.
A major feature is derived from the innovative down firing pre-mix burner that guarantees ultra-low NoX emissions, achieves the Ultra-low emission level of 30mg/kWh (tested with Natural gas based on gross calorific value under the condition of O2 0%), which will comply and surpass NoX requirement in the EU Eco-design directive which comes into effective in 2018.
HDC1600 i/e Low NOx can be used in manifolded banks of water heaters with Rinnai Manifold Electronic Control System. The maximum number in a bank is 25 units manifolded and this will supply in excess of 24,000 litres/hour of hot water raised 50 degrees C.
Also HDC1600 i/e Low NOx has no temperature sensitive internal parts meaning that hot water can be returned to it.
This enables the unit to be coupled to any type of renewable energy source, ensuring that the only time fossil fuels are used is when the renewable energy source cannot make temperature. By combining them with a renewable heat source, the system will be one of the most energy efficient water heating system on the market today. This feature also allows the product to be connected secondary return, especially useful for commercial buildings.
The HDC1600 i/e low NoX is extremely lightweight and easy to handle at just 28 kg. HDC1600 i/e low NoX comes in an “Internal or External” format. The external unit is IPx4 which is fully weather proof enables the end user to have them outside of the property thus freeing up internal space. The internal unit is compatible to common header flue systems.
By developing this holistic condensing technology initiative, Rinnai offers a simple, viable, cost effective, and energy efficient solution to consumer on-demand needs for hot water.
