Speed, Efficiency and Adaptability – Now is the Time to Explore Offsite

With an industry boasting a worth of up to £3 billion per year and accounting for over 5% of today’s new build construction market it is not hard to see why now is the time to become involved with offsite construction.

Taking place at the Inmarsat Conference Centre, London on 03 February 2015 – Explore Offsite is an event not to be missed. This combined conference and exhibition creates a platform for construction clients, architects, engineers and contractors to come together and discuss the latest offsite construction solutions. It is the inaugural event in a series of offsite events being planned in 2015. The first in the series focuses on the pioneers, those that are embracing offsite construction as part of their day to day activity.

Hosting speakers and contributors from Travelodge, WSP, Cartwright Pickard, First Base, Arup, Kier, NG Bailey and Barratt Developments, plus many others, Explore Offsite showcases a range of key industry leaders offering their experiences and knowledge of offsite construction. To top off this fantastic speaker line up, the keynote for the event is Minister of State for Housing and Planning – Brandon Lewis MP, who was recently quoted saying, “I want the whole housing industry to consider how they can use innovative construction. Offsite construction not only creates high quality affordable homes but it also delivers them quickly and that could be an important part of the challenge of delivering more homes.” As well as the informative conference, this event will also be supported by an exhibition from a range of offsite technology leaders.

The need for faster, leaner and smarter construction is becoming more and more apparent in the UK and with only 63% of site based developments completed on time and an even smaller 49% delivered on budget, it is clear that traditional build fails to meet the major challenges facing construction today. This presents the opportunity for offsite construction to play a major role in the coming years across a range of sectors. Offsite construction is not only used in housing but has also experienced mainstream success in many other sectors such as schools, healthcare, student accommodation, hotels, MOD as well as major retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury’s and McDonald’s.

Exploring the benefits of offsite construction is critical as there are so many that this method has to offer - including speed of build, design flexibility, sustainability, minimal wastage of materials and a safer, cleaner site.

Explore Offsite’s conference will see approximately 180 delegates and an exhibition of up to 30 companies, all from a range sectors that incorporate offsite construction in their construction practice, using timber frame, light steel frame, precast concrete, bathroom pods, volumetric buildings, prefabricated building services plus CLT, glulam and a variety of hybrid technologies.

More organisations than ever before are now recognising the need for offsite construction with innovative building techniques that are leaner, more efficient and that also minimise disruption, guarantee quality and cost and save time.

Packed full with innovators, industry leaders and technology specialists - Explore Offsite really is the ideal way to get ahead of the game in this exiting and growing industry.

Tickets to the event cost just £95 +VAT
