Worcester, Bosch Group, has added new functionality to its Wave smart internet-connected controller, offering installers even more reason to integrate sophisticated heating and hot water controls into homes nationwide.
The new self-learning technology in the device will now take user habits into account and act accordingly for even greater comfort and efficiency. The update will be accessible through its free and easy-to-use App and makes the Wave one of the first heating controls to be compatible with smart watches.
Worcester is also making life easier for installers with a scannable QR code – allowing them to register the control automatically with no need to manually enter lengthy codes.
Compatible with a wide range of Worcester’s award-winning Greenstar gas boilers, the Wave boasts load and weather compensation to maximise efficiency. This monitors room temperature and local weather conditions and only fires the boiler at the necessary level to maintain peak efficiency levels. The Wave also offers a 4% uplift in efficiency in line with the Energy-related Products (ErP) Directive; ultimately achieving A+ efficiency when combined with Worcester’s Greenstar i, Si or CDi Compact combi boilers.
Martyn Bridges, Director of Marketing and Technical Support at Worcester, Bosch Group commented: “As the smart-home revolution continues to gather pace, it is vital for installers to be able to assure their customers that the devices fitted will remain at the forefront of the technology. This new update will help homeowners to carry on enjoying the benefits that internet-enabled controls offer in terms of convenience and energy efficiency.
“It is equally as important that technology is embraced to improve the workload of installers. By employing an automatic registry system we are looking to speed up the process for heating engineers and minimise the time spent on admin for their businesses.”
