ELCO Heating Solutions has introduced a completely new range of gas-fired CHP systems, consisting of four models with electrical outputs from 5kWel up to 50kWel and thermal outputs from 12.2kWth to 100kWth.
The new VARION C-POWER range also achieves an A++ energy efficiency rating, offering operators of commercial buildings superb financial and environmental advantages.
With integrated condensing units, all four models in the range (S, M, M+ and L) have class-leading efficiencies up to 109.5%. They are also able to seamlessly connect with other ELCO products – including the company’s full range of condensing boilers – allowing customised systems to be designed for every commercial application.
All four models can operate in parallel with grid connection, while Model L can also run as a standalone unit without connection to the grid. Furthermore, an intelligent control system facilitates modulation of actual power or heat output requirements.
An additional feature of the VARION C-POWER is the user-friendly control panel and remote access. An integral touchscreen colour display provides easy adjustment of settings, as well as detailed graphics and data on vital parameters, such as temperatures, runtimes and power/heat generation. For added functionality, the CHP units can be accessed remotely via a smartphone or tablet, with each model supplied with a built-in modem and a 24-month mobile data allowance as standard.
An incredibly low engine speed and a specially developed noise reduction system both ensure all CHP units are extremely quiet with emissions ranging from 50-63db(A). This allows the VARION C-POWER models to be installed in a variety of locations without the need for additional soundproofing.
For added flexibility during installation, all VARION C-POWER models can be easily disassembled and rebuilt on-site. Plus, the compact design allows the CHP units to fit through standard sized doors.
