Airflow Developments has launched its exterior line of commercial Duplexvent Rotary Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) units. The new Duplexvent Rotary-N range is compact and ideal for premises such as schools, restaurants, office blocks and warehouses. The units utilise highly efficient rotary heat exchangers to maximise indoor air quality, protect the fabric of the building and reduce energy consumption.
Leading ventilation manufacturer Airflow has introduced its Duplexvent Rotary-N range, a new compact exterior line that allows for discrete installation, helping to maintain a building’s overall aesthetic. The units are all-purpose, compact rooftop systems that provide 85% thermal efficiency. Designed with a highly efficient rotary heat exchanger, the units recover otherwise wasted heat energy and uses it to pre-warm incoming filtered, supply air. This means heat is not lost to the outside environment, lowering the demands on the heating system and in turn reducing energy bills.
The range features seven different models and is able to extract from 1550m3/hr (431 l/sec) to 16700m3/hr (4639 l/sec), ensuring exemplary indoor air quality for all types of commercial building. The units also offer minimal sound levels of just 34dB(A), and can contribute towards Passive House approval thanks to extremely low SFP values of less than 0.45W per m3/hr. Additionally, each model has T2 level insulation, an integrated web server and a sophisticated yet user-friendly control system.
Research shows poor indoor air quality can affect productivity, concentration levels and in worst cases even cause severe health problems. As such, the Duplexvent Rotary-N units are also designed with G4, M5 or F7 air filters, which are capable of filtering out small airborne pollutants such as pollen or dust to ensure buildings maintain the healthiest of indoor air environments.

Airflow has also expanded its existing Duplexvent Rotary range of indoor commercial MVHR units with rotary heat exchangers. Specifiers can now choose between seven units depending on the size and design of the building as well as the specific ventilation requirements, such as air flow rates to ensure the optimisation of indoor air quality.
