NBS, provider of technical information, specification and BIM tools to construction industry professionals, has acquired Digicon Information Inc, a Canadian publication and consulting company which provides specification data in Canada and North America.
Digicon is a well-established source for construction related information in the form of master specifications, software and BIM tools.
This move is the latest stage in planned international expansion for Newcastle headquartered NBS, who launched a subsidiary, NBS Knowledge Pty Ltd, in Australia at the start of the year.
Chief Executive Richard Waterhouse said the company’s decision to expand overseas had been in direct response to customer demand.

“UK organisations are looking for a single provider to support their work in international markets. It is a natural progression for NBS to develop our tools and expand our service offering to support both our UK customers and those in these exciting new markets.
