Boasting nearly 300 stores across the globe, River Island are committed
to enticing shoppers with state of the art retail environments. The
store at the Bull Ring in Birmingham is no exception and has currently
gone through a major overhaul in an effort to drive increased business.
Working in partnership with Peninsula Contracts and Bainton Flooring,
River Island chose BluePrint Ceramics to supply the porcelain tile
collections for the retail store. Bainton Flooring is a family business
originally established in 1963 with offices and a showroom in
Bournemouth, they work throughout the UK & Europe. Peninsular
Contracts work with many of the UK’s Blue Chip Retailers and there is
hardly a High Street which doesn’t contain an example of their work.
Given their high footfall, a River Island store requires a floor tile
with exceptional technical performance. The flooring utilised a feature
area in Ardor porcelain floor tiles, the shop frontage was decked out in
a bespoke fabrication to the Stone porcelain floor tile and the cash
desks were given a touch of elegance when clad in gorgeous Vantage
porcelain tiles.
