Low Wood Bay Refurbishment

Imperial Bathrooms were delighted to support a fantastic luxury hotel renovation project in the Lake District with Interior Design Associates Ltd.

As the Hotel is listed it was important to maintain as much of the original features and pay homage to the period of the hotel. Yet not to create a pastiche of the past but provide a timeless design which could be appreciated by all.

English Lakes Hotels wanted to create a memorable stay for their guests and have the best hotel rooms in the Lake District with the utmost element of luxury. The advantage of most of the rooms was that they had stunning views across lake Windermere. We were able to enhance that feature with providing Imperial Marlow Baths in some of the bedrooms. That, together with a glass of champagne, the guests would be able to luxuriate in a deep scented bath looking over the lake.

Comments Interior Designer Sarah Humphrey:

“The majority of the rooms are large and elegant and the en suites were no exception. We were looking for sanitary items that would enhance this together with a quality product that is so important in a prestigious hotel such as the Low Wood. We used the exquisite Westbury double sink in the en suites that were large enough to accommodate them together with the Marlow bath that adds an element of grandeur to the setting. To compliment the basins, we used crown lever taps and showers, which compliment perfectly the hotel rooms.

We were also pleased to be able to use a company that uses British handmade craftsmanship with the ceramics still made in the potteries. Having used Imperial on our other projects we knew that the quality of the product was of a high standard and we were certain that it was the right product for a busy hotel.“

The contractor, Magno Construction found the experience of fitting the products easy and enjoyed the fact that they knew they would not need to replace items in the near future.

Imperial supplies large hotel and residential projects throughout the UK, Europe and the world, and has a dedicated team supporting both the designer, architect and fitters.
