One Creative Environments Ltd opens up the potential of BIM

A leading integrated building design business has improved efficiencies and collaboration by adopting Openings Studio, a BIM-enabled product specification tool from ASSA ABLOY UK Specification, a UK division of ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions.

With offices in Worcester and London, One Creative Environments Ltd (One) has been an early adopter of BIM, working within a fully integrated BIM workflow, resulting in a unified and collaborative approach to building design. The organisation believes full BIM integration is the future of intelligent building design, and this drives their creative output.

Having previously used their own in-house models to detail specialist areas such as door and window scheduling, or ironmongery in 2D, One has now integrated with ASSA ABLOY Openings StudioTM.

Openings Studio has helped streamline multi-disciplinary collaboration and information sharing, ensuring all stakeholders have real-time access to doors and ironmongery specification data, therefore providing complete doorsets that can meet a project’s specific needs.

ASSA ABLOY UK Specification’s expertise and the capabilities of Openings Studio have introduced greater productivity and efficiencies, helping One quickly identify any potential project risks.
