Tucked away in the picturesque countryside overlooking the historic Jurassic Coast, Ladram Bay is a Devon seaside holiday park.
Ladram Bay Holiday Park needed further storage and maintenance areas
within their site therefore a new building was built to facilitate this.
In order to be sympathetic to the surrounding countryside it was vital a
solution be used that helps blend the building into the landscape.
605m2 of Alumasc’s Semi Intensive Blackdown Green Roof was utilised to achieve this.
The Semi-intensive product utilises a series of wildflowers, hardy
succulents, grasses and herb species which was ideal to help mix in with
the existing hillsides and landscape. The system had to also be
installed on box profile metal sheeting and through close liaison with
Blackdown’s technical team and taking into consideration various factors
such as weight and future maintenance methods this was achieved.
