British Ceramic Tile has made in roads into the care home sector, securing a new contract for luxury care provider Leycester House.
This latest win for the British ceramic and glass tile specialist has seen the company work with the Berkley Care Group and Lawrence Baker, specialist contractors in the care sector, on the £22,000 project to deliver stylish surface solutions for the care provider.
With a focus on practicality and style, a number of ranges from British Ceramic Tile’s portfolio were selected to update the private guest bathrooms, guest cloakrooms and communal areas.
With style and quality central to the brief, wall and floor tiles were specified from the HD range, which is designed and made here in Britain, as well as from the company’s iconic brand collaborations with Laura Ashley and Ted Baker.
HD Accolade featured in the en-suite bathrooms. A ceramic tile collection, HD Accolade is made using the latest in inkjet printing technology.
Hardwearing and waterproof it combines raised textures with a calming colour palette to create a peaceful and tranquil setting in the bathroom. Laura Ashley Mr Jones and Wicker feature alongside, offering a contemporary take on a traditional look, with matt ceramic tiles providing a durable, easy to maintain floor covering.
The visitor bathrooms were all about the best of British with each area fitted with Ted Baker TacTile on the walls and Laura Ashley Mr Jones on the floor for a inspirational design that marries three-dimensional textured tiles with a contemporary patterned floor.
Other ranges chosen include HD Deen, Impact glass and Laura Ashley Artisan to complete the project.
Seamus Halton, managing director at the Berkley Care Group, said: “We were impressed with the extensive portfolio of tiles from British Ceramic Tile and felt that the collection reflected our brand and overall ethos of delivery quality and luxury within the care home sector. The end-result is fantastic and we would recommend this British manufacturer to anyone looking to update their interiors, whether you’re a care home or hotel – you’ll be well looked after.”
David Orrey, specification manager at British Ceramic Tile, said: “This latest development project showcases our tailor made approach. From start to finish, our team was dedicated to providing a solution that met the needs of the Berkley Care Group and developer, Lawrence Baker.
“Not only did we think about the most suitable tiles for the job, we looked at the requirements and suggested the use of designer ranges such as Ted Baker and Laura Ashley, which we feel tie in with the care group’s boutique presence in the industry.”
