Leading Italian render manufacturer, Fassa Bortolo has launched a new brochure aimed at the specification and housebuild markets to highlight the uses and benefits of its expansive Fassalime portfolio.

For 310 years Fassa Bortolo has been producing high quality lime for a wide range of sectors including infrastructure, environment and agriculture.

A system that offers a complete range of solutions to meet all market demands, Fassalime is the result of constant research and development over the years with two main lines available.

Ex Novo has been manufactured for use in heritage and listed buildings to tackle damp-related damage and create period features often found in the likes of Georgian town houses, places of worship and government buildings. While, Puracalce has been made to help protect against moisture with a breathable finish, perfect for eco-builds. Whether you need a dehumidifying render or an authentic lime-based variation with light-weight, breathable qualities, there is guaranteed to be a solution within this range.

Clearly displayed through an easy to navigate contents, specifiers will learn how Fassalime can be used on any number of substrates typical of a period building, including aerated blockwork, brickwork or stonework. Visual simulations are added to help represent how each system is installed, from the undercoat, the base coat, through to the finishing coat and primers.

Towards the end of the brochure, readers will discover all the products within the Fassalime portfolio. Each product is listed with full specifications and uses, as well as any relevant accreditation.

Dale Telling, commercial manager at Fassa Bortolo UK comments: “Our different lines bring with them completely different uses. Fassalime is our answer to developers who are looking to renovate properties without the risk of rising damp or dry walls. It also caters for applicators who need to maintain operational buildings with period plasterwork including stuccos and ornate cornicing. Where as our Puracalce line is perfect for architects needing to specify a render for passive housing schemes as this is the most natural render available.

“The use of lime-based renders can be complex, which is why we have tried to create a ‘go to’ guide that makes the decision process as easy as possible for our customers. With the help of this manual, customers can clearly see which system works where and will have a reference document to hand which it comes to meeting certain project requirements.”
