With a renewed focus on sector transformation and recovery, the Construction Leadership Council has established a new Digital Network as a key part of the CLC Task Force Group.
The Digital Network is tasked by CLC with facilitating and accelerating digital transformation in the UK’s built environment, with the aim of improving industry performance and export potential. Industry digital leaders Dr Anne Kemp OBE, Kevin Reeves and Mark Enzer OBE have been asked to head the network.
Working with Digital Leads from each workstream in the CLC Task Force Group, the Digital Network will connect and coordinate the digital activities and initiatives across the CLC, enabling each workstream to drive the digital transformation that works best for their part of the industry.

The Digital Network will focus on enabling change, so it will work closely with other leading industry groups such as the UK BIM Alliance, CSIC and CDBB.
Speaking about the opportunity, Mark Enzer said: “It is clear that through the challenges of this year the CLC has done an amazing job of bringing the industry together. And it’s in this context that the Digital Network has the opportunity to accelerate the digital transformation that our industry really needs”.
Commenting on the task of the Digital Network within the CLC Dr Anne Kemp noted: “As the Chair of the UK BIM Alliance, a key driver is assisting appropriate and practical implementation of the UK BIM Framework across industry as the launchpad for further digital transformation. Enabling change is a balance between addressing the needs of the here and now - and anticipating the demands and challenges of the future. Having a network across CLC which allows us to explore what is needed and share how we address those needs is a huge step forward in driving that change.”
As his first key industry leadership appointment Kevin Reeves comments: “It is an honour and a privilege to work alongside Anne, Mark and the CLC team to help shape the future direction of digital transformation in the reinvent phase of the recovery plan”.
The Digital Network builds upon several industry initiatives that are already enabling change. This diverse and collaborative approach is being driven by the industry rather than Government. A very welcome development in the acceleration of digital transformation across the built environment.
