Over the past year Uzin Utz UK has been fundraising for the University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) Charity to show our appreciation to our NHS heroes. Over £7500 was raised in total in 2020, which has helped fund life-saving equipment and Superhero Care Boxes for NHS staff. But we couldn’t have done it without support from our customers and the many businesses within the flooring industry who have helped in our efforts to raise money.
Matthew Brown the Managing Director of Uzin Utz UK said “We recently found ourselves in another lockdown due to surging infection rates and once again the NHS along with the great team at UHCW have been on the front line caring for the welfare and safety of their patients. We are extremely grateful to the fantastic work the staff at UHCW are doing for our local community in their continued fight against Covid-19.A big thank you to all our customers, distributors and partners who have also contributed in our fundraising activities.”
The rate of infection is now falling from the winter peak and that the vaccination programme is well underway to protect the most vulnerable. However, the NHS and the UHCW team are still under immense pressure which can have a long term impact on their mental health. Uzin Utz UK will therefore continue to support the UHCW Charity in 2021.
